About

Zachary Ordonez is a visual artist and educator. He received his B.S.C. from
the University of Miami double majoring in Motion Pictures and Studio Art Photography.
He received his M.F.A. in Creative Photography from the University of Florida. He is currently based north of Salt Lake City in Ogden, Utah.

Artist Statement

Zachary works with the mediums of photography and digital video to explore the subtleties as well
as overt expressions of human behavior. His work is primarily based on ephemeral moments
and chance encounters with people in public spaces that he can observe and record. Some
projects require him to give an introduction and collaborate with the subject, while other projects
demand that the subject remain unaware of his presence.
